The dictionary defines “othered” as… for a person (or group of people) to be treated as other than, intrinsically different from or alien to another. We’re all dancin’ to a tune composed by the rich and powerful, so we’re all othered in a way. If for some reason you don’t feel like dancin’ to their tune, you can be othered from jobs, friends, or society in general. Life is hard and the powers that be seem content with watching us drift further away from one another until we self destruct. Here in The Other’d, we know better than that. Humanity is beautiful, resilient, and honestly… a lot of fun. Let’s ease the pain caused by this beautiful thing we call life and sing some songs together, shall we? Our set is HIGH ENERGY and we put a focus on 2 things… 1) enjoying THIS MOMENT, on the dancefloor together… and 2) finding common ground in a world where it’s increasingly harder to find any. So no matter your story… no matter your beliefs, your struggles and situations, or even your taste in music… you have friends in The Other’d and we’re glad you’re here.
